Everyone here is so nice. I’m confused about why the reviews are so terrible for this clinic. I have been going here for a couple months, and the staff have been nothing but courteous and accommodating. The restrooms and waiting room are clean and air conditioned. Appointment availability works for my needs. I’m always seen promptly for my appointments. Shout to Melissa at Third Floor reception and Dr. Medrano for always being kind.

“For the Lawyers, Insurance, and alike-Sufferers” On Friday, July 10, 2026, 12pm, I called in to receive a quick referral to visit my eye surgeon & his urgent care to take a look at sudden changes with my visual field, 2 years after the retinal detachment surgery. The ophthalmology institute was open until 5 or 6 pm and ready to receive me but needed a referral sent in. First agent told me that because I was healthy last year and did not visit Family Health Center, they are not going to give me another referral to the same doctor until I come to see my PCP (who is always a new person, each visit) as early as July 23rd (two weeks wait). I explained again the seriousness of the condition. Then he said that I must visit one of their Urgent Care locations and repeat the said problems verbally face to face (despite they have records of this, there should not be anything new aside from follow-ups to the professional surgeon). I said that I am not able to accommodate that. Then he offered me an option to receive a referral over the phone from the nurse. *transfers call* +30 minutes later… A nurse completely refuses to provide me with a referral and insists on me visiting urgent care.

This was the most disorganized medical office I have ever encountered. I received multiple phone calls urging me to schedule an appointment, yet the staff could not clearly explain what the appointment was for. I declined twice, but the calls continued. When I finally scheduled the appointment to resolve the matter, I arrived only to have the doctor tell me the visit was unnecessary and that she was unsure why it had been scheduled. This was a complete waste of my time — especially on my only day off this week — due to poor communication and scheduling errors by the office staff. I hope the practice improves its internal coordination so other patients do not experience the same frustration.
